Dolet for Finale Version 1.5 Frequently Asked Questions

I get an "Error 1843" saying that Dolet requires Microsoft Scripting 5.6 or later. What do I do?

Usually this problem is caused by another program turning off Microsoft Scripting on your computer. To fix this:

Exit from Finale.
From the Start menu, click Run.
Enter the following command:
```
regsvr32 %windir%\system32\scrrun.dll
```
Click OK.

If the registration is successful, you should see a message box that reads similar to the following:

DllRegisterServer in C:\WINDOWS\system32\scrrun.dll succeeded.

If you don't get this message, log into an administrator account on Windows and try again. In unusual cases, you might need to reinstall Windows Scripting on your machine. You can download this from Microsoft at http://msdn.microsoft.com/scripting.

I get an "Error 1998" saying that Dolet requires MSXML 3 to be installed. What do I do?

Usually this problem is caused by another program turning off Version 3 of the Microsoft XML software on your computer. To fix this:

Exit from Finale.
From the Start menu, click Run.
Enter the following command:
```
regsvr32 %windir%\system32\msxml3.dll
```
Click OK.

If the registration is successful, you should see a message box that reads similar to the following:

DllRegisterServer in C:\WINDOWS\system32\msxml3.dll succeeded.

If you don't get this message, log into an administrator account on Windows and try again. In unusual cases, you might need to uninstall and reinstall Dolet for Finale to reinstall the Microsoft XML software.
