EventsComing UpInternational Computer Music Conference 2004Nick Didkovsky will be giving two presentations at ICMC 2004 in Miami on Saturday, November 6. One of the topics in "Java Music Specification Language, V103 Update" will be the addition of MusicXML export to JMSL. In the PastWEDELMUSIC 2003 and MUSICNETWORK 2003Michael presented Recordare's poster session on "Using MusicXML for File Interchange" at this annual conference on Web Delivering of Music. Both the paper and the slides are now available online. Several of the papers at the MUSICNETWORK workshops made use of MusicXML in their work. WEDELMUSIC 2002 and MUSICNETWORK 2002Michael gave a presentation on "MusicXML and MUSICNETWORK" at this event. There was a lively exchange of ideas with critical edition publishers, MusicXML developers, and other people working on music representations. MAX 2002 - Musical Application Using XMLMAX 2002 featured three presentations using MusicXML, including Recordare's paper on "MusicXML in Practice: Issues in Translation and Analysis." O'Reilly Open Source Convention (OSCON) 2002Recordare and Project XEMO presented back-to-back Birds of a Feather (BOF) sessions on MusicXML and Project XEMO. Our presentation on MusicXML: An Open Format for Music Notation is available in PDF format. XML 2001Michael's paper on MusicXML: An Internet-Friendly Format for Sheet Music is now available on the XML 2001 Conference Proceedings web site.
