Born: November 4, 1961, Milwaukee, Wisconsin, USA

Daron Hagen's Bandanna joins Robert Kurka's The Good Soldier Schweik in the repertoire of operas scored for a wind ensemble in the pit. Premiered in 1999, the vocal score and concert overture are available for sale, and a concert piece derived from the opera is available in the Corporon recording. Many of Hagen's concert works for wind ensemble are collected together in the Haitchcock recording.
