David Gillingham

Overview - Recordings - Scores - Books - Links

Born: October 20, 1947, Waukesha, Wisconsin, USA

Several of Gillingham's compositions, such as Heroes Lost and Fallen and When Speaks the Signal-Trumpet Tone, extend the military background of the band further into the concert realm. Morton Gould did this with his West Point Symphony, and the recordings of both of these pieces share a CD with the Gould. Championed by Eugene Corporon, his music has attracted many interpreters and recordings.
