Born: January 17, 1907, Bandung, Indonesia
Died: June 26, 1987, Maarheeze, Netherlands

Is Henk Badings the next great composer for winds to at last be revived on CD? The Flute Concerto is probably the most popular of his many concerto works for wind orchestra, and is newly recorded by the recently-retired principal flute of the Chicago Symphony Orchestra. The Symphony is the highlight of an interesting collection of Dutch music for band.
