Malcolm Arnold

Overview - Recordings - Scores - Books - Links

Born: October 21, 1921, Northampton, England

Arnold's works for wind and brass band are a small but delightful part of his catalog. The Dallas Wind Symphony recording fills out the CD with many effective wind band transcriptions of Arnold's work, such as the Four Scottish Dances, along with the 2-trumpet Fanfare for Louis. Junkin and Dallas showcase the lighter side of this fine English composer most effectively.
