Kenneth J. Alford was the pseudonym for Frederick J. Ricketts, one of England's finest march composers. He is best known for his Colonel Bogey march, used in the film Bridge on the River Kwai. The two British military recordings contain Alford's most famous marches, including all the ones recorded singly on the other collections listed here.
