Overview - Recordings - Scores - Books - Links

Born: March 4, 1928, Mannheim, Germany

Samuel Adler has written many significant works for band and wind ensemble since the 1960's. Most notable are a series of works in strong two-part, slow-fast form: Double Visions, A Little Night and Day Music, and the Symphony. The Keystone CD provides a great overview of Adler's music for band in committed performances, supervised by the composer.
